Communications, Press, and Publicity

The Communications, Press, and Publicity Committee at Goldsboro Wayne NAACP is dedicated to promoting media content that aligns with the fundamental goals of the NAACP, including the elimination of racial isolation and the advancement of multicultural understanding.

We seek to secure publicity for the work of our unit and the broader association in local press, radio, television, and other media channels. We engage with local news media to address issues affecting minority groups, counteract derogatory statements, and promote accurate representation. 

We strive to combat employment segregation and discrimination within communication industries such as radio, television, newspapers, and digital media. Our committee works diligently to advocate for Black minority ownership and control of media outlets, ensuring diverse representation and perspectives in media content.
